  1. Hi my name is Nadine,

I am the founder of the nonprofit True Connection in LA, and also a big fan of your art! You are so gifted. Thank you for having the courage to share and express your beautiful talents with the world. That’s what we aim to empower our children to do. I am reaching out to you for your support by lending one of your drawings to our new student workbook. I have picked one out that I think would fit perfect! This is an opportunity to inspire thousands and thousands of children.

A bit of history- we provide creative arts, meditation, mindfulness and character development education to kids all over LA. We teach them about self-love, empathy, forgiveness, gratitude, respect, patience, generosity, purpose, unity etc- all the really important stuff. You can check out our website at http://www.true-connection.org

We are super, super excited to announce that we have been developing a powerful SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) Curriculum for middle school students over the past 6 months with elite educators and advisors! We are so excited to pilot it this August in Detroit with numerous schools and community orgs! Then will be launching it all over LA, Compton and South Central this next school year. It will also be traveling to schools in Honduras, France, Hong Kong and eventually many more. Our goal is to go National and Global It is a 12-week program that empowers kids by elevating their self-awareness, emotional and interpersonal intelligence, and social responsibility.

The curriculum is adaptable for any kind of teacher in any classroom, and it 80% interactive, experiential exercises and activities that give them the tools and skills they need to unleash their creative minds, discover their unique passions and talents, and empathetically connect to self, others, and the world in which we live. Our mission is to develop self-aware, empathetic, connected, creative problem solvers who share their skills and talents for the highest good of all.

We would love for you to join the movement! Do you want to inspire the kids with us? We would love to use your HUMMINGBIRD drawing at the beginning of the new Student Workbook. The workbook is about 80 pages and includes the individual practice activities, exercises, writing/journaling, drawing, creative problem solving- with about 15 of those pages being fun coloring pages of animals that relate to the topic and educate them about the significance of the animal!

After the welcome text we would love to put your hummingbird there with the quote “Always actively seeking the sweetest nectar, the hummingbird reminds us to forever seek out the good in life and the beauty in each day. “The sweetest nectar is within!”

Then the kids sign their workbook, affirming they are ready to dive inwards and begin their journey to true connection.

Please email me at Nadine@true-connection.org or call 323-640-2684 with any questions if you would like to be involved and move forward! We would need a high res, clean image sent to us and a simple document signed for the nonprofit to obtain right to usage. We are a 501c3 nonprofit and can offer you a tax deductible donation receipt for the cost of the image! We are finalizing artist content this week so need to move on this as soon as possible.

Thank you for your time. So much respect and gratitude for you!

    Love,
    Nadine
